ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a debilitating condition that can have a negative impact on everyday functioning. The areas of adult functioning affected by ADHD symptoms include, but are not limited to, work performance, academic performance, relationships, planning, organizing, impulse control and emotional control.
Some adults with ADHD suffer to the extent that they experience depression and anxiety, get into trouble with the law, endure lost relationships and employment, and develop substance use disorders. In addition, they are often misdiagnosed with emotional disorders or develop symptoms of emotional disorders due to long-term suffering from ADHD symptoms.
At Allied Behavioral Health Services, our ADHD assessment and treatment services are designed to identify ADHD symptoms and related functional deficits in adults and help them develop coping strategies that will allow them to gain more control of their symptoms.
