Chronic Pain
Chronic pain is pain that lasts for 6 months or longer, even after the injury or illness that caused it has healed. It can be constant or intermittent, and it can affect any part of the body. The main types of pain are nociceptive (pain develops in response to a specific stimulus to the body) and neuropathic (pain that comes from damage to the nerves or nervous system).
